All-New DragIllustrated.com Relaunched

February 8th, 2011 by Drag Illustrated

A project nearly six months in the making has finally come to fruition as Drag Illustrated, the highly popular print publication, launched their all-new, state-of-the-art web portal last week.

Seeking to grow and expand the drag racing community, the goal for DragIllustrated.com will be to serve as an extension of the flagship monthly print publication – providing more of the bold interviews, big stories, and insightful commentary that have become DI’s trademark over the course of the last five years – all delivered with high energy, real passion, and from an in-the-trenches point of view.

Offering breaking news, race reports, vast photo galleries, and even web-exclusive articles – all of which can be commented on or shared via various social media outlets – the all-new DragIllustrated.com web portal is poised to become a daily destination for racers and hardcore enthusiasts worldwide.

“As any racer who has ever embarked on an offseason project can attest to – it’s rarely as easy as it looks,” said Wes Buck, Editor-in-Chief of Drag Illustrated. “That has certainly been the case with the all-new DragIllustrated.com, but thanks to a solid team effort we’re very proud and excited to share our new web portal with the world.

“This has been a sizable undertaking since we initially started planning early last summer and we feel we’ve successfully created a site that will serve our readers very well. We hear people talk about the proverbial next level all the time, and even though it may sound a little cliché, I truly believe that is what we’ve attained here – it’s definitely what we’re after.”

The new DragIllustrated.com web portal will also serve as a critical piece of the puzzle en route to the creation of a multimedia business model, which will provide everyone from the reader to the advertiser with a better and more effective experience.

“We feel the new Drag Illustrated web portal will solidify our aggressive approach and continued commitment to providing our valued clients with the industry’s most efficient multimedia investment,” said Trent Salter, Publisher of Drag Illustrated.

“By creating a true multimedia delivery strategy to engage customers from various angles we can not only enhance our reader’s experience, but also drastically increase our readership audience, and do so in short order. Ultimately, we seek to create a superior value for both our readers and our advertisers beyond what the Drag Illustrated print property alone can provide.”

The all-new DragIllustrated.com went live during a beta-test session the first week of February, and will continue to be updated daily with breaking news, product releases, photo galleries and articles exclusive to the DI web portal.
